Frequently Asked Questions
What will happen during my visit?
The length and focus of your visit depend on what you and your nurse practitioner want to address. We’ll review your health history, take vital signs, answer your questions, complete a physical exam if needed, and discuss whether you may need labs, imaging, or referrals. Together we’ll create a plan for your care just like you’d expect in a regular office, but right in your home. Mental health visits are also supportive and confidential.
May I keep specialists involved in my care?
Yes! We’re happy to coordinate closely with your specialists, and can refer you to additional providers if needed. Your care is always a team effort.
What if I have an urgent or emergency issue?
If you have a true emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room or urgent care. For urgent concerns that can’t wait for a call back, seek care immediately, then contact us afterwards so we can arrange prompt follow-up in your home.
Where do you provide home visits?
Esenga Health provides in-home visits throughout Worcester County, Hampden County, Boston, Framingham, and nearby Massachusetts towns. If you’re not sure if we cover your area, just call, text, or email—we’re happy to check!

Does a Nurse Practitioner require physician supervision in Massachusetts?
No. In Massachusetts, Nurse Practitioners have full practice authority and can diagnose, prescribe, order labs and imaging, and manage your health without physician supervision. With over 16 years of nursing experience in outpatient, inpatient, and acute care settings, I bring both clinical expertise and a patient-centered approach to your care.
What if I just want a one-time visit or a second opinion?
No problem! We offer one-time wellness and sick visits, as well as second opinions—no long-term commitment required.
What insurances do you accept?
We are actively enrolling with most major insurance plans, and also offer affordable self-pay and membership options. Contact us to check your specific coverage or discuss payment options.
Can labs, EKGs, or imaging be done in my home?
Some basic tests, like vital signs and fingerstick labs, can be completed during your visit. For blood draws, EKGs, X-rays, or other imaging, we may partner with outside mobile services to come to your home. If the work-up is not urgent, we’ll help coordinate scheduling with these companies to make the process as smooth as possible.
